Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how RecoverSolar collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information. We take privacy seriously and comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

1. Who We Are

RecoverSolar is operated from Cape Town, South Africa. For privacy matters, contact hello@recoversolar.co.za. Our Information Officer is Timothy Rowe.

2. What We Collect

From subscribers:

• Account details: name, business name, email, phone number
• Payment information (handled by PayFast, we never store card details)
• Usage data: portal logins, tool usage, sends made

From data you upload:

• Cold quote contacts, project client details, system specifications, and voice profile settings you configure. Powered by AgentFlow (parent operator: The Operator, Cape Town)

From outreach recipients (before subscription):

• Publicly available business contact details from company websites and directories
• Email engagement data (opens, clicks) via our email delivery partner

3. Why We Collect It

• To provide the Service you subscribed to
• To bill you correctly
• To identify system issues and improve product quality
• To communicate about your account, updates, and features

4. How We Protect It

• All data encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Databases hosted with Supabase (SOC 2 Type II)
• Nightly encrypted backups with 7-day rotation
• Access restricted to authorised personnel only

5. Who We Share It With

We do not sell your data. We share only with processors who help us deliver the Service, under written agreements:

• Supabase, database and authentication
• Resend, transactional email delivery
• PayFast, payment processing
• Anthropic (Claude), AI text generation (content is not used to train models)
• Zoho, support inbox

6. Cross-Border Transfers

Some processors (Anthropic, Resend) may process data outside South Africa. We use providers with recognised safeguards, in line with POPIA §72.

7. Your Rights Under POPIA

You have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you
• Correct or update it
• Request deletion
• Object to processing for direct marketing (unsubscribe honours this immediately)
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za)

8. Marketing Emails

Every marketing or outreach email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe requests are honoured immediately and permanently.

9. Retention

Account data is kept while your subscription is active plus 12 months after cancellation for accounting and legal purposes. You can request earlier deletion.

10. Cookies

We use minimal cookies for authentication and basic analytics. See our cookie notice on first visit.

11. Changes

Material changes will be emailed to subscribers. This page always shows the current version.
